The South East European Network for Profession alization of Media (SEENPM) promotes excellence in journalism through policy initiatives, research and training. SEENPM unites fifteen non-for-profit media cent ers from eleven South East European and neigh boring countries. Its activities are based on the belief that joint commitment and cooperation are pivotal to the development of independent media, the strengthening of relations among journalists, and overall progress in the region. Since its establishment in February 2000, SEENPM has implemented a wide range of journalism training, exchange, and media policy research and advocacy projects. Several thousand media professionals have benefited from these opportunities.
