Internews Europe broadcasts online Afghanistan’s independent local radio stations, facilitating communication between the Afghan Diaspora abroad and Afghanistan’s local independent radio sector, collect advertising and sponsorship over the Internet.
Radio Sahar, established in October 2003, serves a coverage area of approximately 65-70 km and an approximately 60,000 listeners in Herat city. Led by a diverse staff stationed in Herat, Radio Sahar widely focuses on women’s affairs across the province and women capacity building. Radio Sahar also provides entertainment services, cultural information, educational programs, and coverage of environmental issues.
Radio Sahar is now proud to offer worldwide online services through its website, including domestic and international news services, online exchange of audio and text messages, advertisements, entertainment, cultural information, medical services, and detailed information about its programs.
