The Climate Investment Funds (CIF) consist of the the Clean Technology Fund (CTF) and the Strategic Climate Fund (SCF), instruments designed by developed and developing countries to support low-carbon and climate-resilient development with financing channelled through the multilateral development banks (African Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Inter-American Development Bank) and the World Bank Group. The funds were created to bridge the financing and learning gap between now and the next international climate-change agreement.
