Through a series of case studies outlined by NGO workers, human rights defenders and the general public, the documentary 10 Tactics by Tactical Tech, one of Internews’ principal partners, explores the potential of new technologies and social networks to provoke positive change.
Freedom of expression, women’s rights, health, good governance – whatever the campaign, social media can help us communicate better and attract attention to our cause, increasing the overall impact of our actions.
This 50-minute film will be screened in Paris on 31 March 2010 in a unique setting on the banks of the Canal Saint-Martin, the Comptoir Général, a space dedicated to hosting events linked to advocacy, social development, sustainable development and international solidarity.
The film will be followed by a round-table discussion to encourage members of the diverse audience, including representatives from NGOs and associations, academia, the media and the commercial sector, to share their own experiences and to leave with new ideas for future projects.
