Internews Europe is a non-profit non-governmental organisation registered under French Law 1901 (Association de loi 1901) in Paris, France, in September 1995.

The statutes established at its creation describe the purpose, means of action,  and general organisation of our organisation.

In 2010, Internews Europe has currently 6 board members and 31 members of the assembly.

What does it mean to be a member of Internews Europe?

In 2010, Internews Europe has currently 6 board members and 31 members of the assembly.

What does it mean to be a member of Internews Europe?

Being a member offers the opportunity to become more involved with some of Internews Europe's development and projects. A member receives updated information about IEU activities, can make suggestions to Internews Europe management, the General Assembly of members or the Board, takes part in the general meeting with voting rights, including selection of the board. A member may also benefit from Internews Europe contacts in Europe or in the field.

The General Assembly of Members meets physically once a year to approve management and to elect the board and can meet on other occasions.

Board Members: - Board members are consulted and make important decisions for all financial, programmatic and development key issues. They elect the officers of the organisation.

The Board is elected among and by the assembly of members and meets at least twice a year. The Board elects the officers.

Officers: - President, General Secretary and Treasurer. They are legally responsible for the management of the organisation as a whole.

Individual Member: - Any physical person whose membership is approved by the Board.
