Earth Journalism Awards
The Earth Journalism Awards (EJA) was designed to spur and improve coverage of climate change via citizen, community, national and regional media around the world leading up to and beyond the December 2009 UN Climate Change Conference (COP15) in Copenhagen.

EHHR Media Awards
Start date: 2008. As the media partner of the Every Human Has Rights (EHHR) campaign, supporter by The Elders, Internews Europe designed and ran the Every Human Has Rights Media Awards – 30 winners, and a high-profile ceremony which took place on December 6th, 2008, in Paris.
Study on Media and Diversity
Start Date: 2008. Internews’ project ’’Study on Media and Diversity ’’ applies the above approach through a formal alliance that combines extensive knowledge and understanding of media and journalism as well as a wide reach of expertise and contacts throughout the 27 Member States and EFTA countries participating in PROGRESS.
The Mobile Revolution
What kind of information services can be carried on the mobile now and in the next five years? Is the mobile viable as an information channel even when many new users may be illiterate?
Through its projects, Internews Europe has been on the forefront of media work with mobile phones in the South, starting with setting up text messaging services for journalists in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in Java, Indonesia in 2006.
The “Promise of Ubiquity”, study released by Internews Europe, examines current and future trends of mobile telephony as an information services carrier, as well as the deep implications for the media.
